Journal Entry for Sunday, September 5, 1999

Quote of the week goes to Miss Kim Funez, Circuit Steward of Mizpah Methodist Church.  Handing me my Hondutel Internet statement, Kim said:

It's longer than Tu Bandera.

Tu Bandera ("Your Flag") is the Honduras National Anthem. I've heard it sung; it does seem never ending. Hondutel itemizes each time you connect to their Internet server; my July bill was seven pages long! I use the Internet to send and receive e-mail, post new pages to my web site and to talk to Jill (instead of using the nearly $3/minute long distance service).

On to the photos.  We start with some photos from Jill's flight over.  Then a log of some of our adventures and misadventures.  We ended our time together in La Ceiba so that I could preach on August 29.  Lastly, the story of how Utila came to think that Jill and I had perished in a plane crash.
