Wesley Team Connects Restrooms to Sanctuary Building

Our pair of previously underutilized restrooms are now connected to the sanctuary building.  We anxiously await activation of the new municipal water system so we'll have sufficient pressure to use the fixtures.  (This is supposed to happen very soon.) Church members with diabetes have already expressed thanks; those with children have too.
Restroom Project The two doors came off in a hurry, as did the thin wall separating the mens room from the ladies.

The platform to connect the sanctuary to the restrooms is in place and the exterior wall of the restroom building removed.

Restroom Project The crew got a late start since the promised materials were delivered late.  I wondered if they'd finish.

Restroom Project Siding removed from the restroom exterior wall is being reused on the new hallway.  The sanctuary building window behind the new wall will be replaced with a door.

Good supervision is so important.  Truthfully, Buz Sonnier (right) drew up detailed plans for this project based on photos, measurements and sketches provided him.  And he served as the crew chief on this job.

Restroom Project Quite a bit of work went on inside the restroom building too.  The mens room was made smaller to accommodate the new interior hallway that leads to the women's restroom.

That window that used to be in the sanctuary building?  Yup, that's it, now a part of the hallway that joins it to the restrooms.

Restroom Project

This project is complete except for the new water hookup.  Beyond this photo, all the doors were installed (one exterior, four interior) and the hallway roof was put on.  It looks great!
