Utila's power went out Thursday night, July 13 for repairs to the
municipality's generator. We wheeled out the mission house's emergency generator
(affectionately known as Genny). Running it two hours out of every eight
kept our refrigerator cold and allowed us to check our e-mails. (The phone
system stayed on.) Power was restored on a part-time basis one week later
(July 20).
