UMCC Board Examines Teachers Residence Plans

As part of a class at Ball State University, architecture students have been designing plans for a three apartment teachers residence. The preliminary plans were mailed in time to meet us in Clearwater as Jill and I were on the last leg of our Florida tour. We brought them back for the UMCC Board to review.

UMCC Board members check out plans Miss Lois, Miss Tonia, Miss Jeanette, Miss Kim, Brother Wilson and Miss Iris gather around the Mission House table to check out the drawings.

We'll make our final selection in May and hope that the building will be underway in June. The residence will save on the cost of room the UMCC pays for two of our present faculty. Any of the three apartments not needed by the UMCC can be rented out to generate some income for the school. Narrowing down the candidates
