Journal Entry for Monday, April 10, 2000

I never thought the highlight of one of my journal entries would be a church restroom but here it is. With funds left by the Carolinas teams we purchased a cistern for the restrooms and had it connected. It fills automatically when the city water is on in the mornings so we can flush all day long.  Several teams have had a hand in renovating these restrooms. I even used my own morning off last week to disassemble a toilet and replace the last bad part. Everything now works with no leakage! One of my proudest moments. :-)

Pictured is the church restroom wing with new cistern. 200 liters of flushin' power! I felt like we should have had a ribbon cutting or inaugural flush or something. But we simply announced that the restrooms are now available for use. Church restrooms completed

Our architecture student friends at Ball State University (Muncie, Indiana) have been hard at work on designs and plans for Utila Methodist Community College Teachers Residence.  The school board reviewed some early drafts.
