    Farewell, Se'lah

We always enjoy planning a special farewell service for teams the night before they leave. Se'lah surprised Jill and me at lunch that same day with a song they composed for us. We were delighted! I've reprinted the lyrics below. The tune is from the 60's TV show, Green Acres.

Men: Utila is the place for me,
Foreign mission is the life for me.
Water surrounding us on all four sides,
Keep the States just give me those island tides.

Women: North Florida's where I'd rather go,
I don't wanna see another mango.
I just adore a Live Oak tree,
Darling, I love you, but Publix is more my speed.

Men: J. C.
Women: A/C
Men: Salt air
Women: My hair!

Men: You are my wife!
Women: Goodbye island life!
All: Florida Conference, here we come!

Karen and friends After Friday evening's farewell service we all enjoyed Coke and cupcakes. Here's Karen with two new friends.

Melissa and Cindy enjoy the treat also. Melissa & Cindy

Waiting for the yacht Saturday morning and the group is at the dock, awaiting the arrival of the Galaxy II.

All aboard! Jill is traveling back to La Ceiba with the group. She'll meet the inbound team from Indiana and come back with them on the yacht while I'm preaching out at the Keys tomorrow morning. All aboard!

Feliz Viaje! (Bon Voyage) Goodbye Se'lah.  Thank you for coming to Utila!
