Skipwith UMC leads Vacation Bible School at the Keys

The Skipwith UMC team led Vacation Bible School Monday and Tuesday at the Keys. This is the first time we've had VBS at the Keys. The kids had great fun; I expect they'll be back again in August when we have another team scheduled out there.

Load 'em up, Move 'em out! Half the group heads out early with supplies to set up.

The advertised age range for VBS is 5 through 12 but this one year-old brought her great-grandmother (Tremaine Jackson) along. Tremaine Jackson & granddaughter

Steve tells a story; Esther translates Steve really gets into telling today's Bible story while Esther translates for the kids who speak only Spanish.

We made good use of the volleyball net during recreation. Volleyball... great fun

Wheelbarrow races The wheelbarrow races between the school building were also fun. (We were thankful for permission to use both public school buildings in addition to the church sanctuary.)

Even the smallest children had games to play during recreation. Recreation for the young set too

T-shirt mania T-shirt making was a big hit on the Keys too.

66 cups of candy were set out... One for everyone. "Mmm... they do look good!" Mmm... snacks!
