A Day Off at West End & West Bay, Roatan

We arrived in Roatan before noon on Saturday.  After dropping off our bags at our host's home we took a taxi out to West End, one of the touristy places on Roatan.

Jill at West End West End is very nice. Saturday afternoon we checked out some of the accommodations and reserved a little cabin for Sunday night and Monday night. To the right you see some small boats which you can hire as "water taxis" to take you to West Bay...

...which we did on Monday morning. West Bay has beautiful beaches and is definitely upscale. West Bay

West Bay We felt a little out of place among the ritzy upper class resorts and condos.  We headed "home" to West End after a couple of hours of walking the pretty beach.  (Another water taxi...  at 20 lempiras apiece that's about U.S. $3 total.)

Our little cabin back in West End was very nice.   Jeff & Jill at West End
