The view of Mizpah Methodist Church from the bay. The
building with the red roof to the left of the sanctuary is the church annex. |
Another view of Mizpah Methodist Church. |

The chancel area of the church. |
The Methodist Mission House was built in 1991
and has housed many mission teams. The house also serves as the Mizpah
Methodist Church manse (parsonage). This is where I will be living. |

A photo from the other end of the Mission House. The
tank above the doorway provides sufficient water pressure; it is filled from
the municipal water system. |
One model of a Utila washing machine. Where
does she put the quarters? (Can you imagine me doing this?) |

The Utila Methodist Community College (UMCC) students like
to participate in the Utila Parade. They are shown here in the September
1997 island celebration. |
Dick and Nelinda Jaynes gave over three years
of service as missionaries from Tabitha Ministries to run the Utila
Community Clinic and make major improvements in care. Dick is a Physician
Assistant from the U.S. |

A stretch of the two mile road through "the
bush" to Pumpkin Hill and the north shore. |

|
Pumpkin Hill (elevation 240') is the highest point on the
island. |
The north shore. I'm told that Hurricane
Mitch rearranged several of the large rocks pictured. |
