Esther Eden, one of our Utila Methodist Community College students ,traveled to The Dominican Republic for a beauty pageant. Contestants gathered from throughout Central American and the Caribbean. She won! Esther was crowned Miss Playa Mundial (loosely translated, Miss Worldwide Beach). The community turned out in great numbers (over 200, I'd guess) to welcome her at the airport.
