The Wesley team put on a Vacation Bible School Tuesday and Wednesday at 4:00p.m.
Even though we were in conflict with Carnival activities we still had
a fine turnout.
Around 40, I'd say, the first day. |
Two happy VBS participants. (I thought the decorate-your-own-hat
was a great idea!)
|
The team did some Jesus teaching and some hygiene teaching. Those
are toothbrushes the kids are waving. The team even made up music:
Brush your teeth, brush your teeth every day I'm sure you can contact Wesley UMC of Beaumont, Texas if you want the additional verses! |
Seems like we were up to 60 kids on the last day. |
A re-enactment of the death of the legendary Indian known as Lempira took place as part of Carnival. Here's a young Lempira that came to Vacation Bible School. (Incidentally, the lempira is the unit of currency in Honduras. $1 U.S. = 14.24 lempiras this week.) |
Soon after Lempira arrived these three Lempirettes (?) also arrived at
VBS.

You don't have to come all the way to Utila to bless little kids with the good news of Jesus. If your church has already had its VBS why not help out with a children's Sunday School class?
